Here's a delicious glazed jalapeno bacon recipe featuring Wyandotte Farm fresh sliced bacon and Lucky Goat IPA:
Ingredients:
• 1 lb Wyandotte Farm fresh sliced bacon
• 1/4 can Lucky Goat IPA
• 1/4 cup brown sugar
• 2 tablespoons honey
• 2 jalapenos, thinly sliced
• 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
• Pinch of black pepper
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
2. Arrange the bacon slices in a single layer on the wire rack. (This allows the fat to drip off and the bacon to become crispy!)
3. Make the Glaze: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine 1/4 cup brown sugar, 2 tbs honey, 1 tsp apple cinder vinegar, and a pinch of black pepper (or a few pinches - your choice!). Stir consistently until the sugars are dissolved. Add 1/4 can Lucky Goat IPA and bring the mixture to a simmer. Let it cook for about 3-5 minutes until it thickens slightly.
4. Add 2 thinly sliced jalapenos to the glaze and cook for another 2 minutes.
5. Using a brush, generously glaze each bacon slice with the jalapeno beer glaze.
6. Place the bacon in the oven and bake for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven, flip the bacon slices, and glaze the other side. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and caramelized.
7. Let the bacon cool slightly on the wire rack. Serve the glazed jalapeno bacon warm.
This recipe brings out the spicy, sweet, and savory flavors perfectly, with the Lucky Goat IPA adding a delightful citrusy note that complements the jalapenos and enhances the overall taste. Enjoy your bacon as a standalone snack or as a topping for burgers, sandwiches, or salads!
